About Me

Me? I'm a fortyish year old chap (not in the photo above, that was taken when I was a lot younger) living in central Somerset in the United Kingdom (that is sadly no longer part of Europe). I work in IT so some of the projects on here are labours of love and/or born out of necessity. I hate seeing things thrown away so love repairing or giving stuff a new lease of life. I love making things with the kids so you may enjoy some lego builds.

I'm not fully trained in anything other than electronicky things as I have a BSc in electronics but for woodworking or building or for anything else please take as much motivation and encouragement for yourself, but not so much of the detailed designs or advice as it comes from that of a rambling amateur just trying to show that things outside of ones realm of expertise can be achieved with enough brute force, ignorance and a bit of motiviation.

Please don't be offended by the quality of the photography on this site, I love taking pictures but invariably resort to using a mobile phone, and at first glance the images don't look too bad, until they're viewed on a computer then they look absolutely terrible, but by that time the timing of the build/repair has passed so revisting for 'proper shots' isn't possible.

I am a bit of a self-confessed hoarder, I think I get it from my Grandfather who'd never throw anything out. I think it's the fear that as soon as it has disappeared into the dusbin it will then be required!?! I am trying to heal myself and whittle down my belongings and my debt levels and stress levels to more manageable amounts, so I am selling lots of items on ebay, from car parts, books and magazines mostly on a motoring theme, computers parts and other random stuff. Please take a look at my ebay site: https://www.ebay.co.uk/stuffforsale

Here's a few affiliate/referal links from sites I use, a small kick back is usually fair game in my direction and some in yours, but all are vetted and used and not just for the kicks ;) Nothing better than getting something for nothing, or a little time.

If you know of any others like this, then let me know, send me your links in the comments.
